About the Hungary Film Incentive

Hungary offers a 30% cash rebate, applied at a flat rate across expense categories, under the current program guidelines. Non-Hungarian spend can qualify up to 25% of Hungarian spend.

There is no minimum spend, no per-project cap, and no salary caps. Restricted items include royalties (capped at 4%), producer fees (4%), and prints and advertising (2% of budget, or 5 million HUF, whichever is lower). The National Film Office charges a 2.5% administrative fee on the rebate.
